Private Clients

Commissioning a sculpture can be a very rewarding experience. Whether you want a portrait in bronze of someone you love or a centrepiece for your garden, both the process and the result can lead to a gratifying outcome.

Having decided what you want Tom Bass will help you identify an artist with whom you can work, by looking at their work and discussing your ideas. The artist will then help you to define and clarify your needs, prepare a proposal and estimate cost and time.

The role of the artist is to provide a creative solution to what you want and to translate that into images and forms.  This process may take some time.  In the design phase you will be shown sketches or a maquette, which is a small model.  Having approved this the artist will proceed with the full-scale work.  You will have further opportunity for dialogue with the artist through each stage before the work is completed.

Corporate Clients

We understand your way of working.  Thirty years experience of working with architects and civic planners have developed an accord with the needs of those who deal with public sculpture.

Tom Bass has an outstanding record as a public sculptor.  Investigate his public sculptures in his major works.

We can provide a complete service from the conceptual stage to the positioning and fixing of the finished work.  We will ensure that you are confident in the choice of artist, in the approval process through first sketch to maquette and in the management of the project.  The project will have the overall supervision of Tom Bass himself.

The process of making a public sculpture is most successful if you bring us into your project at an early stage.

We welcome visitors to our studio where you can see the process and review past commissions.  Our phone number and address are on the contact page.
