Make a donation to the Tom Bass Fund for the Promotion of Sculpture
The Tom Bass Fund for the Promotion of Sculpture enables us to provide opportunities for individuals and community groups to participate and engage in the medium of sculpture through individual and corporate tax-deductible donations. With your generosity, join us in further developing a range of exciting programs.
The Tom Bass Fund is currently raising money for 6 programs:
1. Artistic Development Program: Funds Master classes and specialist short-course workshops at a reduced rate for established and emerging sculptors.
2. Scholarship Program: This program supports two key areas of scholarship for Emerging Artists and Youth (age limit: 18–25 years of age). >>scholarship page
3. Memorial Fund: Our current project honours the tireless work of Fr. Ted Kennedy & Mum Shirl by creating a
memorial sculpture to be placed outside St Vincent’s Church Redfern.
4. Luke Project: Provides workshop fees to individuals suffering from critical illness and supports community
groups who serve people with serious health problems through small sculpture commissions.
5. Capital Funding Program: Supports the facilities and services we provide at the Sculpture School through the
donation of funds, gifting of an art reference book for our Library, or the upgrade of our tools and equipment.
6. Community Projects Program: Initiates sculpture projects with and for the benefit of small community groups
and organisations.
By supporting the studio, you can help to keep alive the traditions of sculpture and teaching handed down from the Julien School in Paris, through Datillo Rubbo to Tom Bass. You will be maintaining a valuable tradition known to artists and art lovers through the ages as the “Golden Thread”.
