Supporters and fans of the school- SUPPORT/ JOIN THIS FANTASTIC COMMUNITY OF ARTISTS IN ERSKINEVILLE, FOR NEWS AND EVENTS.

Tom Bass founded the Tom Bass Sculpture School in Sydney in 1974. Bass, and the teachers he has trained, teach at the art school in the tradition of the Master-apprentice. This is a tradition in which the great sculptors of history were taught.

It means the students are the curriculum, and that people who come here are motivated by their love for the subject rather than by the prospect of a qualification.

Since the late 1990’s Tom Bass has encouraged senior students, teachers and graduates of the school to make public sculpture commissions at the TBSSS.See the site for image galleries.
